Parks Canada Workshop

Parks Canada has an Archeology Workshop coming up next week.

Gary Baikie is the Visitor Experience Coordinator with Parks Canada in Nain.

He says the theme of the workshop is “Understanding the Past- Planning for the Future”.

Different archeologists and resource people will be attending the event.

Including archeologists who have been doing work at different sites in Labrador for years, such as Jim Woollett and Peter Whitridge.

Baikie also touches on the new permit process for Archeologists and what they are required to do with their findings.

The workshop will be taking place at the Atsanik Lodge  March 26th and 27th.
