The teams players included: Roxanne Andersen, Katie Harris, Selma Jararuse, Kelly Edmunds, Christa Angnatok, Mary-Lou Harris, Abigail Webb, Courtney Flowers and Vanessa Pamak.
And they were accompanied by their gym teacher and coach Damien Barter.
To celebrate this victory, there were a few Nainimiuks at the tournament and there was also a welcome rally held at the gym this morning.

Keith Watts is the general manager for Torngat.
Watts says they discussed last season's operations, the financial statements and regular business items.
He says the Board of Director's talked again about having one fishing entity with the Nunatsiavut Government and the Labrador Inuit Development Corporation.
And they also discussed plans for the 2009 fishing season, which have not been finalized yet.
Watts says the society will give Christmas hampers to organizations which they been doing over the years.
He adds the society needs 1 board of director for Nain and 1 for Makkovik, so if anyone is interested in been a member you can contact Torngat Fish Producers Cooperative Society.
To get an updated understanding of what is happening with the Federal Government in Ottawa, OKâlaKatiget Radio contacted Labrador's Member of Parliament, Todd Russell.
He says he is dissappointed in Prime Minister Stephen Harper's decision to prorogue Parliament because there are a lot of issues that need to be dealt with now.
He says this week his Party is very busy discussing the leadership of the Liberal Party.
According to him, by Wednesday, December 10th, Stephane Dion may step down and the Federal Liberal Party may have a new leader.
On today's AtjiKangitut program Russell will tell us who he supports as the new leader and he'll tell us more about the situation in Ottawa right now.

A special Chirstmas treat for Nain residents will be happening at the Moravian Church this Saturday.
Six Jens Haven Memorial School students will celebrate the Christmas Season with a CBC host from Toronto!
Paul Kennedy is the host of the CBC radio program “Ideas”.
And he will be travelling to Nain this weekend.
Tom Mugford is a high school teacher at Jens Haven and he is friends with Kennedy.
Mugford says five high school girls along with Kennedy will present a dramatic reading of Charles Dickinson's “A Christmas Carol”.
Mugford says there will be live entertainment performed by the girls between Kennedy's readings.
He says CBC is funding travel and accomodation expenses for Kennedy to come to Nain.
Mugford, Kennedy and Jens Haven Memorial welcome everyone to the Moravian Church on Saturday, December 13th, at 3:00 p.m. for the reading.
The school is raising funds for community Christmas hampers, so donations will be accepted at the door.
So come on out everyone to enjoy a special reading of a classic story and to celebrate Christmas in a new way!
But Nunatsiavut wasn't the only group who received funds.
The Labrador Metis Nation will also be receiving monies from the Aboriginal housing trust so we spoke with President Chris Montague to find out more.
He says they have not officially received the monies yet, however, they have planned out a way to distribute most of it when it comes to housing in Upper Lake Melville and the South coast of Labrador.
Montague explains how the monies will be spent, who is eligible and what the application process is for their beneficiaries.
