For information about their party, OKalaKatiget contacted the Centre.
We spoke to Thea Camie, the receptionist, and she says the parents and children were entertained by the St. John's Native Friendship drummers and throat singers.
She adds Santa Clause visited the children and their parents, giving each child a gift.
Thirty or more children attended the Center's Christmas party.
Regarding the Center's Christmas staff holidays, Camie says the staff works until December 21st and they start again after their Christmas holidays on Monday, December 29th.

Jim Lyall is the President of the Nunatsiavut Government and we spoke with him after he finished his Executive Council meetings in Nain this morning.
He says beneficiary workers will get holidays for two weeks and vacation pay for the other 2 weeks while the Voisey's Bay mine is temporarily shut down.
And he says the mining company will have a maintenance crew at the site during the whole month of July.
Lyall continues by saying NG's Executive Council has been meeting in Nain for the past two days discussing internal business.
He says one of the discussions surrounded plans to set up a land use committee in each community on the north coast.
He says representatives from the NG will be traveling to each community on the coast to inform beneficiaries about the issues they 're dealing with and also to hold question and answer periods.
These sessions are scheduled to happen from mid to late January in the new year.
We spoke with Principal Bill Cooper who says it's the first time he's organized a concert at the Mudlake School.
They will be having a Christmas party on the 19th of December and the Christmas concert will follow that evening at 7:00 pm.
The concert will begin with 3 Christmas songs, followed by 2 students performing on xylophones as part of their music program.
Afterwards, he says there will be a skit and then Santa will drop by to hand out presents to the students and to the parents.
When Santa leaves, Cooper says there will be another 3 songs.
Once the concert is over, the school will begin Christmas Holidays until January 5th.
Cooper wants to wish all the listeners a very merry Christmas.
This morning we contacted Bill Nippard, the regional manager for Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro to get an update.
He says everything is working fine at the moment with five engines running on a rotational cycle.
This means they don't use all five at once, depending on the load, they rotate between engines.
Nippard says they do this so that if there is an engine that needs minor maintenance or oil changes, it can be done smoothly.
With five working engines, Nippard says the community doesn't have to worry about using too much power by plugging in Christmas lights, because there is more power being supplied than before.
To power the community of Nain hydro only needs two engines to be running.
Nippard says there were engineers in this week to check on the arrangements and set-up and they said everything looks okay.
After this winter and spring, they will be sending one engine away in August to be replaced.
To get the details OK radio spoke with Michaels.
She says the petition is about making changes to our medical services because she feels that it's not the fault of the people who become ill.
So they shouldn't have to pay for their medical travel expenses, accommodations or whatever other expenses are incurred when they are traveling for medical reasons.
Next week, she says she will be meeting with the House of Assembly, and bringing forth this petition again.
