Torngasok Cultural Centre launched the Ilisauttika Inuktitut materials on October 29th.
There were four language resource materials released to the public.
The Inuktitut/English dictionary in the making for the last 20 year; The Rosetta Stone CD-Rom, a language software program and two books one for children and a compilation of elders stories.
The children’s book called “Ataugaga UKausinnut” and “Unikkalautta” were the two books unveiled.
The launching was celebrated in all Nunatsiavut Towns with entertainment, traditional and non-traditional foods and door prizes.
It was a historic and a landmark day for Labrador Inuit.
The resource language material comes ay a time when Labrador Inuit are losing their language and should serve as a catalyst for language retention.

In Nain Community Health Workers are in the schools discussing Prevention Education Programs to various grades.
And an Inuit Idol show is scheduled for Saturday night at 7:30 pm for ages 18 years and over.
A Dog Show is also scheduled for the weekend.
Rosie Mitsuk is Community Health Worker in Hopedale.
She says events started off yesterday with opening ceremony of keeping the circle, refreshments and door prize.
There are radio spots all morning and gym tonight for 6 to 12 year olds.
There will be an educational display at the store tomorrow and a scavenger hunt for 6 to 12 year olds.
And on Thursday the display moves to the school and radio spots will be aired.
A Dinner for Seniors is planned for Friday at noon and closing ceremonies begin at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
