Nain is the only Town that celebrates all five.
And tomorrow it’s Widows Day celebration in Nain.
Verona Ittulak is the AngajukKâk and she says 19 women will be celebrating their day.

Herb Jacque is the AngajukKâk.
He says the proposed plans still has to be approved by all members of the ICG.

It will be involved in community composting projects and a community garden as a part of that.

A couple more leaks in the Nain water main resurfaced over a week ago.
Since then the Town Maintenance crew has been working hard to repair the leaks.
Dasi Ikkusek is Town Manager for Inuit Community Government in Nain.
She says the leak on
As the crew digs where the repair work is being done the ground keeps caving in.
Another set back is that where the leak is there is a connection to the sewer main as well as water main.
To top it off there is a manhole in the same area.
She says the Town will have to wait until summer for the repairs to be completed.
In the meantime the water that’s leaking is going into the drainage system.
And the water that’s lost because of the leak is about the same amount that’s used by the fishplant each summer.
The good news is that no homes will be without water.
If more water pressure is needed in the future, the Town crew can open more valves so extra water can flow from Annainaks reservoir.
Ikkusek is asking all residents to conserve water.
