The Pumpkin House Nursery in Happy Valley Goose Bay was formerly called the Mother Goose.
Angela Spearing is the Daycare Operator at the Nursery.
She says they are licensed by Child Youth and Family Services to operate and that this Department is very helpful.
The Nursery is licensed to take 59 children and 57 are registered.
The Pumpkin House has been operating for 32 years and takes children between the ages of 2 to 10.
The programs help the children to be socially involved, actively involved and outings are also held.
Parents fees assist to operate the Nursery.
The Nursery is usually closed throughout the summer but open during the rest of the year.
The hours of operation are from Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm.
The Court Circuit arrived in Nain on Monday and will hold sessions until Friday.
Constable Will McGinnis is with the RCMP Detachment in Nain.
He says Judge John Joy is presiding and the Crown Prosecutor is Jennifer Mercy while the Defense Lawyer is Mr. McKay.
He says there are about 40 cases to be heard.
McGinnis says the charges range from Sexual Assault, Break and Enter, Breach of Probation and Undertaking, Impaired Driving and Assaults.
He adds that the next court circuit is scheduled for Febraury 4th-8th and again on February 18th-22nd.
The Provincial Department of Justice has a new staff member.
Ken Morrisey is Director of Communications for the Department.
He says Winston White began his new job as Labrador Liaison Specialist for the Justice Department this week.
He says the position was out for competition and White was the successful candidate.
The position is based in Happy Valley and will require quite a bit of travelling.
White accompanied the Minister of Justice, Jerome Kennedy and his entourage during yesterday's visit to Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Before gaining this position, White was the Executive Assistant to Minister of Labrador Affairs, John Hickey.
There is still a shortage of teacher positions in some of the north coast schools.
Bruce Vey is the Director of Education for the Labrador School Board.
He says there are still some specialty posistions to be filled, because the School Board has been unable to find suitable candidates.
Guidance Councillors are needed for Hopedale, Makkovik, Postville and Rigolet.
And the board member for Nain is still vacant.
Vey says the other positions that are hard to fill are Music and Special Education teachers.
